She's back...the Exegesis Fairy vs. Household Clutter

Well, there was Christmas, there was New Year, there was the wedding, the honeymoon, and now...

The Marriage. Dun dun DUUUUNN!

Christmas not the best, New Year very quiet, wedding insane (happy pink haze of utter exhaustion had set in by 1pm) and honeymoon wonderful. It's good to be back.

So BetterHalf (or should that now be DearHubby?) and I arrive back, immediately shift tons of boxes into our new house (read: cupboard with a bed in) and I'm up to my eyeballs in clutter. CLUTTER!

I'm sorry, I don't like clutter. I can live with untidiness, really. I can live with mess and disorder, up to a point. I cannot live with the piles of boxes and the inexorable feeling that we Just Don't Have Enough Space. Especially as there's more to come this weekend. And we haven't even GOT most of our wedding presents yet.

Help.

So today during my lunch break (which this is) I disassembled a bookcase kindly donated by the church, "We don't want it, it's not on the inventory, take it."

So there will be somewhere to store more books, and this is good.

I will clear the clutter. I will.

I made the first steps over the course of the last week. I've donated, recycled and put aside to give away at least two boxes full of stuff. I've recycled the cardboard boxes as I go along. I've mercilessly chucked out anything extraneous.

But it's not enough. The house is just too small.

I will clear the clutter. I will.

In the meantime, I hope nobody else wants to give us anything. I think the house might explode.
