It has been a weekend in which I ate ice cream, and porridge, and all sorts.
And, funnily enough, I feel a lot better for it.
If 1% of people are coeliac and can't digest gluten at all, and 30% are intolerant, and some unknown percentage may be intolerant and have no obvious symptoms, then I think we can conclude that I am in whatever percentage it is who can deal with grains of whatever sort just fine.
Which is useful to know.
That's not to say I'm going to eat lots of them at every meal (or mainline Ben & Jerry's Half Baked, for that matter) but it'll certainly make breakfast a whole lot easier. No bread or pasta and very few potatoes, and not a lot of sugar... I can deal with just fine, thankyouverymuch. It's probably quite beneficial.
But I do like my oats.
The Primal eating experiment has been a worthwhile one, then, and one worth bearing in mind.
But for now, I think, I'm going to eat some bread smothered in butter with tomato soup. And maybe some tuna.
Mmmmm.
Food.
And maybe now I'll regain the energy to do hard exercise.
